Week Course. 25 hours a week. For all levels.
This “classic” week course is designed to rapidly improve your French while discovering our region.
We practice French in all forms, proposing ever changing exercises: reading and listening, video and theatre games, oral contests, grammar challenges…
The great difference with our courses is that we learn the language while exploring our cultural heritage. Rather than simply conjugating verbs, we practise past tenses while reminding us how our local Lords used to serve the Crown of England for centuries. We memorise prepositions while learning the traditional way of catching shrimp on a broom. We progress in French as we taste the regional cuisine, or even better – as we prepare some treats ourselves. The simplest grammatical exercise becomes a journey.
The course take place in our school, overlooking Arcachon’s marina. It includes outings and meetings with local artists and craftsmen. We offer different activities (quiz, treasure hunts…) to work on your French while discovering Arcachon’s four districts (Winter town, Spring town, Summer town and Autumn town). Our teachers ensure that you articulate your discoveries into words and sentences, with more and more fluency.
The course is adapted to all levels, beginner, intermediate and advanced.
